Default Radio

Hey guys just bought a 93 del sol but the radio I bought doesn’t seem to work. If I’m correct my wires are colored together properly (ex: red to red yellow to yellow etc. same for the +, - for speakers) and I also checked I have no fuse for the 23 spot. I checked by placing one of the 15 fuses into the 23 spot and I still didn’t seem to get anything. Anyone want to tell me what I’m doing wrong or what I’m missing? Not really an electrical guy but def can learn so go ahead!

If you plug the red wire on the radio to a wire directly to the battery, and the black wire directly to a solid ground or just the negative terminal to the battery, does the radio power on?

Yes. I ended up getting it to work turned out to be a bad fuse in the main box under the hood. I appreciate the feedback and also that tip you suggested to try! Will keep that in mind next time.
