2000 civic ex I’ve had since new. Been a great little car.
i was doing some maintenance and came a cross a post about some model years having a cabin air filter. Mine does not. But I vacuumed the compartment out etc. When I went to put it all back I noticed a length of wire with a blue connector. Now it had a been a week from the point I started to the point of putting everything back. I don’t recal disconnecting it from anything and can’t find anything to connect it to. I’ve searched the web, and even looked through some YouTube vids to see if I would catch a glimpse of it. The car runs fine, everything functions. So I’m turning to you all. It comes out through the floor, passenger side. And has a fairly long wire. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Richard
It is likely the connector from a Honda accessory CD changer.
in reply to both login login and tech8. First of all thank you both.
Tech8, as soon as I read your reply I remembered that old Cartridge CD changer in the trunk. I removed it years ago when I installed a newer radio.
and yes indeed loginlogin following the wires back led me to the trunk.
thank you both again for your help. I can install the last bit of trim back now. I also labeled it for next time!
