Default 01 Crv timing marks not lining up

Timing marks seem off.
I put a resurfaced head and my crv to fix a burnt valve. I am trouble getting these marks to line up. The bolt in the back is to check for TDC at the crank. I painted the marks to see them better. They seem slightly off but when align them the belt won’t slip on.I got the belt on but this is how the marks look. Is it ok to proceed like this?

Which camshaft do you put the belt on first? I was putting on the intake cam at first but it made sense to put it on the exhaust cam first to keep tension on the belt since the tensioner comes after the crankshaft.

this is what it looks like after redoing the belt, releasing the belt tensioner, and rotating it once

It's been a while since I did one of these since I don't own my '01 CR-V anymore so I don't remember which side the tensioner is on, but always put the belt on the cam farther from the tensioner first. You need the belt to be tight between the crank and the cam without the tensioner since you can't use the tensioner to take up the slack. The last time I did a belt on mine, I missed 1 cam by a tooth. It'll run like crap, but it won't cause damage if you're just off by 1 tooth. Sucks to take it apart again, but at least the engine isn't lunched.

I don't know if I'm having the same problem or not. But I have a 2001 CR-V with 277,000 miles on it. There are a few things they I am having issues with. Misfire codes for random misfire, cylinder 1,2,&4. Checked plugs and cylinder 1s plug wreaks of fuel. Idles rough. Acceleration is sluggish. Shakey when stopped. When stopping at red light the rpms drop then bounce back up. Idk what's going on.

hi, were you able to fix this? I have the same problem, where one camshaft is off by one tooth. thanks!
