annoying noise after mechanic replaced timing belt and pump
98 honda accord ex manual trans 2.3L
About 3 weeks ago i had my timing belt and pump replaced. Mechanic had my car for over 4 days and when I picked it up and drove off with it I noticed a slight vibration or low hum when i was on the freeway. tried to reach out to him and got no response. Since then i have been paying attention to WHEN it happens because it is not all the time. At first I thought it was just it being a new belt and all, but it only happens mostly when I go to about 2.5 rpms and above in any gear. It doesn't happen when in neutral. I only go about 59 on the freeway for a constant speed, i can go over and it doesn't do the noise unless I'm trying to maintain that speed. so I can accelerate and decelerate without much or any noise. He recently responded with a message saying he MAY have bent my flimsy and rusted exhaust shield by accidently leaning on it. Please help me, I would prefer not to take my car back to him and have to be carless for several days again. My friends sons are willing to look at it but I would like to help direct them to possible culprits. Please and thank you!
If you have any other questions please let me know!

For a starting point, I would look for any missing hardware then start grabbing all the things that would have had to be removed to access the belt and see if anything is loose..
Also check the heat shield, see if it is bent and if it's nearly making contact with something then bend it back to see if that fixes the problem. Though that would be causing more of a rattle than vibration as you said.
