Default Should I take out intake resonator completely

On my ef hatch I've removed the y-piece and the snorkel from the airbox and it sounds a bit louder and deeper since I got an aftermarket filter but not as much as I'd like to. The intake resonator is still mounted so is there any idea to remove it completely? Does air still get sucked through the resonator and lower the sound even though they are not connected? I would really like to get some louder intake sound since I got the stock exhaust.

If you took the Y elbow out, the resonator box is doing nothing.

You should have kept the Y and removed the resonator.

But you're asking about stock parts and loudness. Seems kinda pointless.
