Default K24 Half Shaft Bolt Hole - Leaking Oil

Hey everyone, hope you’re all doing well..

The other day I woke up to a puddle of oil while warming up my car. I took a look under and had seen one of my half shaft bolts had fallen out. I took a look under and seen that oil was spitting out from the hole which the bolt was missing.

I then noticed a hole at the end of where the bolt is supposed to be. I bought this motor off a guy and looked everywhere, didn’t notice a hole when I bought it. But I have a feeling it was there when I bought it.

Would you think it would be okay to put a new bolt in to plug this hole and stop the leaking?

let me know your thoughts, thanks!

You have to replace the bolt anyway... Goop the threads with RTV and send it. That bolt should be a shoulder bolt to locate the half shaft, special order from Honda.

Looks like a bozo used too long of a bolt and broke out the end of the blind hole.
