Complete noob with some google research and Quora help under my belt. Figure I should confirm everything on a place with Civic experts. Honda Civic 2018 Sedan, with plans only to improve/upgrade. Just trying to get a smoother ride for my dog (she feels every bump and loses balance from any slight acceleration). Also improve car ride for unpaved roads (like going on trails towards camp sites etc.

From what I gathered: smaller wheel, bigger/wider tires, maybe some Monroe shocks and struts. Found another forum thread here with someone discussing suspensions and the main focus is the rear suspensions? Was also advised about bushings, but after doing research about rubber vs polyurethane, I'm a bit hesitant to change to rubber due to the durability.

Any helpful tips, advice, brands, parts, suggestions are welcome. Thanks for your time!
