Default 98 civic radio code

Hi

I have a 1997 civic lx it came with automatic transmission and ac as the only options. I added oem pw.pdl and power mirrors

Now I want to add OEM keyless

My original radio did not have the keyless antenna so I bought a radio on ebay radio works but i need the code simple right? I called honda dealers they could not find it I called Honda Canada and Honda USA they couldn't find it either serial not valid is what i was told.... serial is clear on lable

radio PN 39110-s01-A010-M1 serial F71084816C

I know that you can get the serial on 2001 and newer radios by pressing 1 and 6 will that work on a 1998? I dont have radio installed right now so i cant try it

There’s no radio code. There’s a box that fits in the radio slot that attaches with a big green plug for the oem door locks. That radio should operate on am fm without it but you won’t have your oem locks.

I’m referring to the unlock code for the actual radio when you disconnected from power will it not go into lock mode where it’s requesting code?

The box that fits in the slot on top of the radio I believe is the alarm not the power door lock control, that’s what I’ve seen it labeled as on Honda drawings.

Pic below top radio is the one that came with my car bottom is the one with the keyless antenna

Canada and my car is the LX in Canada the green keyless plug is actually kind of rare it didn’t come with it unless you ordered it when you bought the car new my car Has only the white/gray radio plug

So the next thing I need is a dash wiring harness from a 97 or 98 ex sedan automatic
