Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me the part no for coil connector which goes to the ignition coil. What is this connector called, I have a civic 2004 LX and the 3 wires are directly connected to coils packs

Also does the engine wire harness connect to the ECU or the wires separate while connecting back to ECU, need help as I need to replace the wire harness the connectors are getting worn off.

 

On line you can find honda oem parts and diagrams , or go to the dealer or salvage yard , what cave man did that ?

Its a long story, this car was in the garage for long time. probably someone did a short fix. Do you suggest I replace the whole harness with the connectors ? or just replace whichever connector is deteriorating ?.

 

As long as the connections are secure ( soldered ) and you can get the coil towers out without a problem you can leave it as is . If it's difficult to remove them then get the disconnects and solder them on , Maybe the dealer has them or maybe a salvage yard may sell you the whole harness or you can jerk ball something together . Any electrical connections should be clean , tight and secure .

 

It's a Sumitomo HX-090 series connector, Sumi part # 6189-0728.
