Spark plug tube seals bottom?
I did a search trying to find a way to replace the bottom spark plug tube seals I have one spark plug tube that has a little bit of oil on my spark plug boot I've had no luck finding any yet that's comparable to mine or even how to get the tubes out anybody have a link?
If you have the SOHC VTEC variant of the F series engine (F22B1 / F23A*) they do not have lower tube seals. These engines have steel tubes pressed into the head, very very rare for these cylinder heads to have leaks at the bottom of the spark plug tubes. Now, if you have the SOHC Non VTEC variant of the F series engine (F22A* / F22B2) the bottom tube O-Rings are between the rocker assembly and the cylinder head. You need to remove the rocker assembly/camshaft covers to access the lower spark pug tube o-rings.
Note: do not pull the end cam cap bolts completely out of the rocker assembly. Pull the entire assembly off with all the bolts loose in place, or you may end up with a mess of rocker arms, springs and spacers on the floor. These end cap mounting bolts lock the rocker assembly rods in place.

just to add to that, reinstall procedure for the rocker assembly requires torqueing in sequence or else risk engine damage. and it is strongly recommended (maybe by Honda, but definitely by me...
) to check valve lash after you're done. be prepared for those before diving in to the seal replacement.
well said.

Yep that's right
This is the one I had trouble getting the compression tester piece off the spark plug so I was attempting to remove that to get to it but I ended up having to take the head off I wonder if I just take a piece of wood and a hammer and tap on that pretty good couple times if that would receive that back down in there you think

Thank you
Sorry, didn't get back to you.
Did you pull the sleeve/tube completely out?
If you did, I would suggest putting it in the freezer for a while. Heat up the head a little bit with a hair dryer/torch and then take the cold spark plug tube and press/hammer it into the head far enough to match the installed height of the other 3 tubes. If you go too far the upper part of the tube may not seal against the valve cover tube seal.
Adding some pictures of what you are dealing with will help the community help you faster.

That's about all you can do, check to make sure it is at the right height and square with the head/other tubes. Another thing to look at would be to make sure it is still round. and seals to the vlave cover gasket all the way around. If you are still seeing oil in the bottom of the spark plug tube, change the valve cover tube seal.

Any idea how to fix is it's not round? Has a mark or two from trying to get out with sparkplug socket. Currently on hold trying to locate trans seal for driver side CV joint no luck on that yet
Thx
Had similar experience, difference on mine was all my plugs were swimming in oil. All I did was got a valve cover gasket kit and gasket sealer, kit comes with new rubber plug seals and the gasket is rubber. Easy to do.
peace out.
peace out.
Changed seals and gasket was planning on checking with straight edge.
