Polyurethane Strut Mounts...DIY?
Seems like replacing strut mounts on my Element has become an annual maintenance item.
Cobblestone streets may be picturesque, but they also wreak havoc on strut mounts.
I tried Duralast, Moog and some cheaper Chinese brand...durability seems to be about the same.
While looking for a solution, I found this video where they repaired strut mounts with Polyurethane.

I disassembled some old strut mounts, and it looks doable (mounts are the same for rsx, crv, and some civics).
I wonder how they would hold up.

I picked up some polyurethane today, instructions say it takes 7days to cure.
Will trim all the excess once it firms up.
Here's a pic of the bottom...next to a brand new strut mount.

Ended up giving the mounts to a local machinist, since the polyurethane never really cured hard enough.
Here's what he came up with.
I will give them a try, once the Moog mounts fail.
