Icon3 Coolant Leak

Hi again, Ive been servicing my 98' Lude and found a leak on the back passenger side of my block, its a steady flow of about 5 drops every 30 secs ( Coolant btw ) .
However i haven't been able to find any loose hosing for this leak, there is no threading in the hole either, Would this be heater core hosing or water pump?
I have though found a little straight no thread screw with a spring , similar to one you'd find in your thermostat , it fits in the hole but it wont stay.

any words of wisdom is appreciated;
- Robbo

If it is leaking coolant out of a hole, it probably is the water pump weep hole.

Water pump will probably need to be replaced.

Yep, that's your water pump.

Would it be hard to change the water pump for someone who has never changed the water pump before?

It's not the easiest thing in the world. When you do a water pump you'll do the timing belt as well, so you can look up procedures for that to get an idea of what's involved.

I had a leak on the passenger side back of engine. It was a cracked heater hose. Kind of a b*tch to get to the firewall end, but very doable. Took maybe an hour, with most of the time spent contorting my hands, and draining the coolant.
