F23A1 Build
Alright, so im trying to build a little 350-400hp 01 accord.
so heres the plan so far
- Forged Pistons + Rods
-stock crank and cam
-still debating on sleeving it, i know that the f23 has iron sleeves from factory, but not sure how much it can handle
- still tring to find springs + retainers for the f23
-ebay turbo kit, for now. @15-20psi
- balance shaft delete (maybe?)
-ARP headstuds
-550cc injectors
- upgraded fuel pump obviously, but not sure what im doing there just yet
-chipped p28 and gonna try my best to tune it myself on crome
so what im asking really is, is it necessary to sleeve it? should i do a balance shaft delete? does anyone make springs and retainers for the f23 head? Do i sound like an idiot? (probably)
Also, are there some things im missing that i should really look into? im doing my best to do everything myself

If you search, you will find that many many people have said they would do this. it's really not feasible, this is the wrong platform. The engine and transmission will not hold up to that level. The axles are not strong enough, nothing in this car is made for that level of horsepower without more money than you can imagine. What I mean is budget $10,000 to even attempt this. Aim at 200-250 horspower if you are going to stay with this engine, or truly, in all seriousness, just LS swap it and be done. It's actually cheaper. You are not an idiot, just unfamiliar with the platform enough to realize that it's not the right one.
If you don't believe me, just try and find someone who is building anything at that level on this platform and you will see. Big $$$ or build on something else.
