Here we for the last few months my idle has been creeping up, at random... but then it stayed high, really high 3 to 4K... I initially thought that the throttle cable was binding... no go.

So I took a peek at the spare carb... to understand the various levers... and yes there was a way to lower the idle... the unloader seemed the culprit... went to the TSM and here we go on the hot engine... in my case no vacuum on #18... so I did a bypass using 2 T's to provide manifold vacuum to the unloader






The thermovalve B is unobtainnum, and is really a pita to access

 

Do you think your thermovalve is probably blocked up or something wrong with the spring inside of it?

That's a lot of vacuum lines holy crap.

 

Yes, thermovalve... in fact it is the second one that has failed... fortunately the weather does not dip below freezing... so it will be fine...
