Key Fob Issues After Car Battery Replacement
I have a 2019 Civic Sport. The CAR battery died and I took it to have the battery replaced. After the battery was installed I no longer could just depress the brake and push to start the vehicle. If I hit the brake and then hit the start button it just blinks white. The only way I could get it to start is by pressing the fob directly up against the start button. The fob also no longer will unlock lock the door or function at all really. The red light on the fob does come on and I even replaced the fob battery just to be safe.
After the car battery was replaced the “initializing” came up and it went through the motions and then went away along with all the other lights that sometimes come up after battery replacement.
Any advice on what could be causing this? Is there a reason I would need to re-sync the fob or something? I’m out of ideas at the moment.
