Has anyone downgraded to the smaller 02-04 calipers on an 05-06 CRV? I want more rubber without increasing too much height, not to mention the selection of AT tires seems so much better with 15", therefore, my solution would be to go to smaller wheels. So other than calipers & brackets, what else would be needed? Can the original knuckle, bearing, & hub be retained? ABS sensor? ... And same for the rears?

 

No, unfortunately the knuckles are different as well. You could change the knuckles to the 02-04 style.

 

The smaller front rotors and calipers will bolt on. The rear will clear some 15" wheels.

 

Stock CRV 15” aluminum wheels will not clear rear calipers on the 05-06.

 

That is why I said SOME 15" wheels.

So calipers and rotors, front & rear... I will hit up some local wrecking yards, or find a local that is willing to trade

 

The rear calipers won’t make the difference; where the caliper mounts to as it relates to the knuckle is different. You’d need to swap the knuckles if you want to run smaller rear rotors.
