What’s recently been done
-New Dizzy
-New plugs
-New Wires
-just re did timing correctly

The issue:
car backfiring a lot when started, idles extremely low, backfires when shifting, idles rough, runs fine when moving, but when cold, stutters hard and whole car shakes in first gear leaving from a stop. When warm, I have to wait about 2 minutes before driving or it will not go past 3K. Like it’s almost in limp mode. If I force drive it when it’s doing this, it eventually goes away and drives normal, but still idles super low and pops at idle.
and it’s not like one pop, it sounds like this quiet little
popopopop……….pop….popop….

it’s random.


only mods:
lowered, skunk 2 Exhaust manifold, new stereo, subwoofer and amp, with a new battery terminal positive.l, skunk 2 short shifter.

did this problem show up before or after the plugs and wires?

 

before.
got the car, had the issue, then I changed Dizzy, plugs, and wires.
When issue continued, I re did timing, and adjusted dizzy
still having the issue.

 

make sure the plug wires are in the correct spot.
