Icon6 Aluminum Radiator Recommendations

Been looking at radiators and there are alot of 2 row all aluminum ones on Ebay for under $100. Has anyone tried these cheap radiators or a Megan racing one?

If so what has your experience been ?

If you're spending $100 for a radiator, just go to Rockauto and get a radiator with a good warranty.

Preferably I am trying to get a radiator that is all aluminum, like Megan racing or Koyo style. Rockauto does not appear to have any radiators except stock style that utilizes plastic tanks.
However if did purchase a stock radiator OSC brand has lifetime warranty.

Would that be better than an aluminum radiator that fails in a year?

No real reason to get an oversized radiator unless you need the extra cooling capacity because of power increase. If that's the case, I wouldn't limit my budget to $100. $100 is a gamble.

I've had a cheap radiator that leaked when I installed it. I'll never do that again.

I have bought a lot of radiators (for different cars) and never paid more than 60 bucks and never had a problem with leaks or cooling. If you buy a bigger radiator, your thermostat will just have to close more.

I got the 2 row aluminum rad for 92-00 civic from ajpdistributors off ebay and was very impressed for my turbo crx. Polished aluminum, perfect hose inlet/outlet sizes, and high quality welds. Packaged well too. Only thing personally was I welded the overflow nipple on the neck instead of leaving it just threaded in. Cheap cheap and 10/10 unlike some others that are painted silver if you read reviews before buying..

anytime I have bought a Radiator, for some reason or another I always end up selling the car/truck within 2 years. Just get an Autozone replacement and call it good

I think to prolong the life of your radiator you need to carry out strict maintenance. I have never had a problem with the radiator in all my driving time. I use flush for radiator, see herePrestone Radiator Flush Review, this liquid prevents overheating and ensures stable operation of the radiator

back when i had my 95 civic EX, i got the ebay aluminum radiator, probably the same one as the user above. Those engines do NOT need a full size radiator. Hell, even in illinois winters I would still stick cardboard in front of the radiator (half-radiator) to keep my heater blowing nice and hot.
Ebay aluminum radiator is fine.

However, if I could go back and tell 20 year old me how to do it, I would've said just order the OEM replacement on rock auto.
