95 Accord V-Tech 4 cyl (F22b1)
Air intake hose is damaged and I will replace it. But I am wondering what all the attachments to it are.
Specifically:
One, a closed (no outlet) plastic irregularly shaped bladder like piece attached sort of the to the side to an approx 2 inch port.
Two, a hard plastic tube 2 - 3 inch diameter, attached to a similar port closer to the TB, and to a box near the air filter and battery on the other end .

The question comes up because I ordered a new intake hose. It is listed for this car, but the configuration of the various ports is different, as are a couple of small hose (vacuum like) ports. The differences are enough that I cannot attach the two items mentioned above. I thought if they are not critical I would eliminate them and plug the ports.

Is there any thing attached to the air intake tube, between the air filter and the throttle body that is essential, or even sort of important?
Can I run a totally closed air intake hose to the throttle body without serious bad effect?
