Default Stock GS-R Alarm

I just installed some subwoofers and an amp in the trunk of my '94 GS-R, and now the keyless entry/alarm doesn't work. the funny thing is, when you hold down the lock/unlock button on the remote, it still successfully sets off the alarm like it's supposed to. I didn't do any electrical modifications other than adding a power wire to the battery for the amp, and splicing a wire into the power antenna wire to turn on the amp. Anybody have any suggestions? I would like to be able to use my alarm again.

My battery was plugged in, you know that. However, for anyone who has this problem, I did figure out what it was -- Valet Mode. (whoops) It seems that i had accidentally engaged the valet mode without knowing it.
