Hi, i own a 1993 honda del sol, i have an issue with the memory holding of the clock and the radio.
I need help because i found a solution but i do not know if it’s ok.
The memory cable it’s the constant Blue/white 12V this cable was cut from the harness and plugged into the fuse box with a 15A fuse (see photo). The pin where the cable is now connected it’s hot only if the car is running. There is another pin that’s always hot, switching the cable place resolves the issue. My question is, why did the previous owner cut the cable and run it to a not always hot? (I do not have contact with the previous owner)
Do someone know why it’s not plugged into the always hot pin?
Looks like someone 'repurposed' the memory wire for something else at some point. Probably to power the radio at key-on but hard to say what without doing some sleuthing around. Ironically, C919 comes off of the radio circuit anyway - maybe PO damaged the original power circuit for the radio and this was the solve?
If you can't splice it back together for whatever reason, I'd try to get it back through fuse 17. That's accessible through either C915 or C916 as you've circled above. Pull fuse 17 and see which one of those two plugs still has continuity to the fuse slot. The 15A fuse can go, it's redundant.

Without fuse 17 the only one that works is C915, with fuse 17 both C915 and C916 work.
That's what I would have expected, the manual wasn't clear on it though. I'd use C915 if you don't want to splice, it's free if your car is USDM and already sensibly fused.

I found that C915 runs trough fuse 36 that’s a 50A fuse situated under the hood.
What do you mean by “if you don’t want to splice it”?
and my car is JDM so maybe your manual is different?
