question to n e body that installed a cable reel b4...
i picked up a couple cable reels, and there is 1 electrical connector that I can't seem to unplug from the cable reel. It seems like its part of the reel. Am i right on this? if so, i was just going to solder it together instead of unplugging the connnector.

IF i remember correctly, there are two connectors for the cable reel. one is a bunch of wires in a yellow cover that goes to a connector, and the other is recessed into the reel itself, and another harness plugs into that.
did you get a new or used one? if used, don't forget to center the cable reel before installing it, or you'll end up replacing it again.

i got it used.. pulled it out myself and cut the wires. one of the connectors was easy to pull out.. it had yellow tape around the wires signifying SRS unit. The other connector had 2 wires and i can't seem to take out that connector. It's like part of the cable reel. It's not a big deal since i can just solder it in.. but i would like to know if it is designed to come out. thanks
