Default D16y8 aftermarket cam position and crank trigger setup/distributor delete

Looking for helpful advice on cleaning up the signal from the less than ideal vr cam and crank sensors inside the distributor by moving to actual cam and crank location with an aftermarket trigger wheel. I currently have a cop conversion and figured out today I will more than likely need to make the switch to run the ecu I have. I am setting up the car to run a fueltech 450 with a universal 4 cylinder harness.

Interesting... keep this thread updated.

By the way, your ignition system would not be called "Coil-on-Plug"... it would actually be referred to as "individual coils" since each coil is NOT mounted directly over its corresponding spark plug.

t1 race development makes a conversion to convert a bseries to an actual cam trigger setup. Apparently nothing is on the market for a d series as of now.
