Default remove foam near passenger footwell

Hi all,

I had a leak issue from a blocked AC drain that caused a puddle to form on the front passenger footwell. I'm in the process of drying out all the carpet in order to avoid potential mildew or odor issues. I noticed that this foam circled in red is also saturated with water because when I press it, water comes out at the bottom. Does any one know how to remove this foam so I can dry it? I have a service manual with me but I'm not a mechanic and I'm not sure what it's called either so I can't find information or videos on how to remove it. The car is a Civic 2005 LX

Would appreciate any help, thank you very much.

Looks like foam on the edge of the plastic floor cover so I would think all the foam is wet and there's more to it ,, keep tearing it apart I guess .
