Default B16A Turbo Build

Hey guys Iam doing a reliable b16A turbo build 300+HP on a 2000 Civic EK. next month I’m sending the block to CSS for machining I’ve some research on parts but I’m looking for reliability. I have 12,000 budget limit so fill free to recommend anything. I know all the tuning software I need and other components mainly need help on engine components and schematics. The motor will be ran without a turbo for the first 5000 miles for education purposes was wanting to start small then learn my way up.

I’m planning on all forged internals, eagle rods, stock stroke eagle crank, arp studs, (any recommendations on pistons) was thinking ctr, also trying to find the right bore/hone and a good compression ratio (was thinking 82mm).

the head is all finished and redone polished ports, head is bare nothing is added yet any recommendations for head Will be a very big help

thanks!!!!👌

Don't spend $$$ on an Eagle crankshaft... the stock one is better and you don't need an aftermarket crankshaft to make 300 WHP. Keep your compression around 10:1 and your engine will be happier... high compression from big dome-top pistons like those found in the CTR engine reduce optimal flame propagation, and thus, may cause more harm than benefit... especially if you plan to use pump gas. Besides, CTR pistons aren't "forged"... they are cast. There is a good possibility that once you have 300 WHP, you will want more... and since your have a decent budget, start out with good parts AND go ahead and get the block properly sleeved. This way, you can push the HP boundary up quite a bit and never have to worry about your block.

the crankshaft that came with the block is shot had rod knock on piston #3 and was grinding metal to metal on the crank. I’ve looked online and can’t find anything anywhere that’s in good condition, if I get lucky at a scrap yard I can get one but I don’t wanna take my chances on that lol

If you do CSS, do the minimum bore required to keep sleeve thickness up - typically 0.5mm will do fine. I agree with JRCivic1 - go with a forged piston in the 10.0:1 range. Look at Real Street Performance's website - they offer rod/piston combo packages that save ~$100 if bought together. I'm using Eagle rods / CP pistons. You should be able to have a fairly nice setup for $12K.
