road noise in my hatch
When i'm in my 99 hatch, I hear alot of road noise. I was wondering if anyone can give me any ideals of where the noise might be coming from and what causes it? It comes from the back of the car, I'm guessing the wheels. It gets really loud when I increase my speed, usually 60 or above. I thought it was my shocks, so I changed them to koni's. Then I thought it was my tires, so I changed them. I needed both anyways, but they didn't stop the noise. Help, its getting annoying and I can barely hear anyone in my car!

The only thing i can think of is there might somthing stuck under your wheel well and its rubbing against your wheel. I was hearing a very loud noise coming from th back of my car, a jacked it up and found a small size bird jammed into my lower control arm rubbing against my wheel. Also check all the bolts somthing might be loose.

the road noise i hear mostly in my car is from the tires. . . a while back i had to slam on my brakes and because of it, there are now flat spots on the two front tires and when i am driving there is a vibration and the noise sucks!

your wheels may be out of balance, that will cause slight vibration and noise....umm...do you have a bent wheel---that could be a cause too.....check it out man....just jack the car up and make sure everything is gravy
