Hey,

I have a problem with starting the car. Both my keys are making this problem, I am turning it and it doesn't start, no starter sound, nothing. I can start the car however, I only need to do it a few times to turn the key quickly and eventually it starts. But it's really annoying.

If I stop the car after driving, I can easily restart it in the next few minutes. Why then?

It's not the fuse, I checked them, I charged the battery so maybe it's something else, but I will try another battery soon anyway.

Any idea what could be the issue?

Your del Sol has a green flashing key light on the dash? Neither of my del Sol's do (including a '97)....

 

yep, I have it. I have seen the manual for the US cars, they don't have it on the dash, but this european model does have it.

 

And what does the european manual say about the light flashing?

 

immobilzer key ring mechanism is likely bad.

Had the same issue with my old '00 Integra

 

I wish I could find that version online, but I only found the US manual

 

Use troubleshooting for a USDM Integra of the same year, see if that helps. They had immobilizer systems and the systems are pretty universal for similar gens.
