Icon5 07 Odyssey intermittent Low Beam headlight issue

I have a 2007 Odyssey. My low beam headlights go out intermittently while driving. High beams will work fine and jiggling combination switch, turning head lights on and off repeatedly, turning car off an on, etc., will usually get them back on at some point. But very dangerous condition. I've ruled out:
  1. all fuses are ok and they are separate for right/left headlights
  2. combination switch was swapped out for a new one but problem came back anyway
  3. i cannot find mention a relay for this model car for the low beam headlights (there are no DRL)
Seems most likely cause is faulty wiring or connector somewhere. Has anyone else experienced this in an Odyssey or have any info on it?
I have seen the Fit recall for the same year, and heard of issues with the Pilot and other Hondas around that year. But maybe this is different.
Would I be better off with my usual small shop mechanic or the dealer?
