Cheapest way to reach 300 whp?
This is with a turbo of course, and assuming a good tune. I'm wondering which engine is the cheapest to build that would reach 300 whp. (The point of cheap isn't to be a cheapskate, but to make sure I didn't spend extra money on an engine with greater potential than I'm currently driving, this would seem like a waste) Also, you can assume I'm going to daily this car.
Some options I've heard of:
stock B series
built D16
built D15
built D15 with D16 head
built D14 with D15 head
built D14 with D16 head
Which option do you like the most? What are the pros and cons of some of these? Do you have any other advice?
Thanks!

@tech8 that was a legitimate response to OP’s question. A Camry has 301hp. OP asked for any other advice. I am challenging the moderator’s removal of my post and slandering my good name by accusing me of trolling.

I've done a bit more research and I think I'll consider the D14A4/D14Z2 block with eagle rods (If those even fit) and vitara pistons, a D15B/D15Z7 head. Probably a medium turbo with around 12.5 lbs boost. Also might do a D-valve to bypass turbo lag (rpm threshold lag).
Any thoughts on this? I think it will do around 250 whp, maybe more

You can make 300 on a stock B-series bottom end. D-series will need rods and pistons. Most of the go-fast parts cost about the same regardless of the platform, so it really comes down to how much you can get the engine for, and if swapping to a different platform than the car uses, the cost of doing the swap.
Cheapest way to get to 300 whp on a Honda platform? Nitrous. But filling the bottle will get old really quick.

JFC read the post, I listed the engine options. Don't take the title as the standalone question here. I'm obviously not using nitrous for a daily driver, why does this forum have a 1:1 ratio of good and dumbass responses?
Some research up front on your part would have probably stopped all of the trolling. The question has been asked many times here. Some information will be dated as technology has improved but the basics remain.
Is it possible to get to 300hp on a D series for cheap? Yeah sort of. Cheap is relative. Gets more expensive if you want it to last and/or have a usable power band. Cheaper than 300hp on a B series? Yes for sure if you already have the D series.
Yeah the main reason I made the question was because of the many listed options, but yea, I've all but decided on the 1.4 I have with a D15B head, and vitara/eagle internals.
Cheap
Reliable
Fast
pick 2. The third is what you will sacrifice.
If I were you, I’d start with buying a junked B series that needs a rebuild. Rebuild that so you know you have a fresh motor.
300hp is easy to do nowadays on a budget. You can easily hit it with an old greddy td18g turbo, and reliable tuning.
You’ll spend more money because you’ll be including the swap + the turbo kit and tuning, but it will be the most reliable option.
