Coil keep getting burnt up
Hi guys,
my civic 2002 has had this issue of bad coil in on of the slots. I left it for a while then decided to change the coil as it was evidently burnt with the head/connector coming off or being held in place only by the fiber wire inside it.
I changed the coil and went out only to hear a loud bang from the bonnet and smokes.
The new coil from same socket had got burnt again.
Mechanics tried to trace the connecting wires for a possible bridge but found none.
So far, 3 coils from same socket are gone.
The engine hasn't been running fine because of this and my car has started smoking too.
One of the electricians told me it's a brain box problem and needs replacement.
Has anyone had this issue before? And how did you get it resolved??
