2002 Accord brake squeal goes away, when brakes applied
Hello Group:
As in title, sounded to me like brake wear indicators, squeal stopped when I applied the brakes
The brake light came on, so off to mechanic
Had rear pads and rotors replaced the mechanic said front was fine
Still has the exact same issue driving home
They squeal intermittently, but stop when I hit the brakes.
Could he have been wrong about the front??
Would I hear the indicators, without applying the brakes on the Accord?
Annoyed for sure.
Thx for any comments

Have you checked the front pads yourself to see if they are really worn? I've had mechanics say something was good without even bothering to check
