Default I WANT TO TUNE MY CAR

Hi, am new in this Forums, and i came here with a Doubt. first of all, am Dominican, so My English ain't too good sometimes but i make me understand i think.

Well, i want to start a course for tuning cars, like programing ECU and trying to put boost on cars. So, am gonna buy a Civic or an Integra soon, and i want it with a B engine Series, specific a B20b (Is Easy to find parts in my country) and i want to know what type of Programing ECU i need to buy, the cheapest one if its possible, just to start learning this stuff.

Thank You for Reading.

Start with a B18B. The b20 is a good all-motor block, but not great for boost.

Your tuning options are Hondata, Neptune Demon and Moates Ostrich (Older option) I believe.

HP Academy is a good resource to learn about tuning.

I use hondata and there is a great deal of information and support on hondata. not sure about other managements. also very easy to learn and play with as a newbie myself.

Almost any OBD1 Honda ECU works. P28, P30 would be part # common. Cheapest option would be Crome Tuning for software and a Moates Ostrich as hardware for a chip emulator and would be the most expensive item. You will also need a Moates ecu conversion kit which is usually fairly inexpensive. And soldering skills. Any basic soldering iron and some wick/solder can get you by.

With any tuning platform you will need a laptop.
