Is this basemap ok? D16Z6
Hey everyone,
I apologize in advance if this is in the wrong section. Long story short is I originally bought a Phearable basemap chip for my P28 (car is a 93 si with basic bolt ons). I provided them with my mods and the car ran very well.
I bought a burn2 so i can take a look at the map in Crome (free version) but idiot me managed to delete the map off the chip so now its lost. I emailed Phearable to see if they can send me the bin file so i can reburn it but they said they can’t do that.
No big deal I thought, I went ahead and got another basemap from Xenocron. Car feels amazing and seems to pull hard (maybe a placebo who knows).
However, two things concern me regarding the Xenocron map:
1. I see that Chris used a P72 base for the map. On the Phearable map it was a P30 base. Would this be an issue?
2. I looked at the low and high cam tables on the Xenocron map and compared them, for the most part everything looks pretty similar, except for the high cam ignition table. The Xenocron map has wayyy more timing on the first group of the high cam cells. I’m no mechanic but I have a feeling all that timing wouldn’t be good for my motor.
I’m gonna provide the bin of the Xenocron map. Any help/opinions/feedback would be greatly appreciated
Thanks!

Will do. I'm at work right now so I'll upload it when I get home. I managed to retrieve it yesterday when I was messing around with the burn2.
Also, I forgot to mention that I also have a HAMotorsports basemap. I looked at both the HAM and Phearable maps yesterday and they are both significantly more identical to the Base P28 map on Crome than the Xenocron map, especially the high cam ignition tables.
