88 CRX DX auto revs high before shifting gears
I just picked up a 1988 CRX DX auto with 105,000 miles. Drove it from Georgia to Tennessee with no issues (250miles). Two days later it seems to rev longer before shifting gears. I’ve only driven it in the neighborhood so it stayed in the low gears. Any help would be appreciated.
Did you find an answer for this?
Mine does the same: mostly when shifting from 2nd to 3rd.
It's a 1991 auto with about 40k miles in the clock, recently changed ATF.
Strangely it doesn't always behave like this; unfortunately I have not been able to determine in which situation it does occur.

Both of yalls trans is done. A fair price for a rebuild is $900 if you do the removal and install yourself. More if you have the shop do it all. 900 should include a rebuild and refurbished torque converter.

Mine turned out to be the same; added 0.5 ltr. ATF and all is well again
BTW it was just at the MIN mark. Would like to know how much is the difference between MIN and MAX.
You might check it again just to be sure you're not losing fluid vs. it just wasn't filled to the proper level.
My drivers side axle seal had a big crack in it and all of the trans fluid drained within 24 hours.
