Hello. New to the forum. I recently installed a clutch kit in my 97 civic ex. The kit was easy enough to install but aligning the transmission shaft back up to put the transmission back in was a mother. Finally got it in and everything bolted up ok but the there is an awful, very loud grinding noise when i push in the clutch now. It sounds like the teeth on the flywheel are hitting something but wouldn't that occur with the clutch in or out? My noise only happens when pushing the clutch in. Thanks. Dan

 

Did you replace the throw out bearing as well?

 

I did. Its my understanding the tob will make noise without the clutch engaged.
