I'm new to the forum and this might not be the correct section or location but hope someone can help me out with an issue I'm having.
I have a 18 Acura RDX and I broke one of the sensors on the passenger seat rail for the air bag system. Dealer does not sell these individually and youbhave to buy the whole lower seat or rails $2,400.
I got another seat from a 2017 RDX same car even same seat color. Put that seat in plugged my scanner tried to clear the codes under SWS and SRS codes.
Getting code " wrong combination with SRS unit" so I switched the little black box which i bekieve is the SWS module and installed the original one from my seat. Now im getting "different serial ID of the front passenger Weight sensor"
I did manage to somehow clear the " wrong combination with SRS unit" code with the entire donor seat installed.. and air bag light remains off until the car is powered off.. once the car is off and turned back on the code pops back up.
Is there a method to reprogram/marry the new seat components to the car.
An HDS or similar scan tool will be able to pair the new module. Dealerships have the HDS, many independent repair shops will have a similar scan tool.

thank you for quick reply!
anyone know any repair shops that work with honda acura in the NYC area by any chance. Would rather go by recommendation then hit or miss lol.
Anyone with an HDS compatible scan tool should be able to pair the SRS modules. Autel, Bosch, Snapon, many others will all do the SRS relearn. Doesn't need to be a Honda specific shop. Call around and ask.
