Default 2014 Accord Cigarette lighter failure

Hello, 2014 Accord Front console lighter socket has no power. However the Back one works.

I checked it with a meter, and a portable plug in light , no voltage. Removed and checked ACC fuse it is still good. Saw from other posts , yes, the radio and all dash lights work.

Assuming the socket itself has failed, how do I get it out without removing the console. There is a tool illustrated in a internet search that looks promising. Costs $20.

Any DIY solutions ?

Did you check under-dash Fuse No. 40 (20A)?
