I found this near the rear of my 88 CRX after replacing the gas tank. Definitely didn't punch any out...

That looks like the shift linkage pin at the transmission.

Maybe it was some road debris that fell out when you dropped the tank? Or maybe it was on top of the tank from the factory as an extra.

Shift linkage pin.

Doubt it just fell out. Worth a look. Tranny side of the linkage.

I should've taken the pic with the linkage pin. I took that out last night. This pin is smaller diameter. Thought maybe something around fuel pump or two-way valve area use a pin?

shrug. then its just a roll pin.

bitch pin is the only roll pin i know of.

That does seem reasonable. I searched Honda parts for other roll pins and only saw transmission and possibly glove box. Thanks!
