crank no start, constant dim check engine light ed7 civic si b16a1(edm) swap
So we just finished putting in an edm b16a1 from an ef sedan (originally crx ee8) into an ed7 civic si and when trying to start it cranks but the fuel pump doesn't seem to prime and the check engine light is dim and on constantly. all other lights work normally.
We moved the si engine harness from the old engine (d16a6), everything is plugged in except:
-vtec solenoid
-vtec oil switch
-second 02 sensor
-knock sensor does not seem to exist on edm b16a1
-green alternator plug which doesn't fit the b-series alternator
-vacuum hose from top of valvecover to the air filter hose not connected because air filter is not on yet
the cabin harness is untouched and we just plugged in the pw0 ecu
same constant dim check engine light when we tried to use the pm6 ecu that were in the car originally.
the fuse closest to the front of the car seems to be blown not sure though.
Would any of this cause it to not start or is it maybe bad ground somewhere. We tested both valve cover and transmission ground and they seemed to read 12v. Not sure how good the thermostat ground is though
I read that the thermostat ground is for ecu and main relay so iI'm thinking that may be causing it since the cel is dim and fuel pump doesn't seem to prime.
