All Warnings lights on
Good Morning,
i have a 2014 Honda Civic SI with 160k miles on it, a few months ago after a I accidentally downshifted the car went into limp mode, I turned the car off and on again and the problem went away, a few weeks later my alternator went bad so I had it replaced. A few weeks after the warning lights came back on my dashboard but no limp mode, I disconnected and connected the battery like everyone said but the problem returned. The lights will go away and stay off for 2-3 weeks at a time but they always come back.
I checked the check engine light and got a code for Cylinder 1 misfire, I then checked all the spark plugs, plugs and injectors and they all came back fine. I finally gave in and got a shop around town to inspect the car and he couldn’t find the problem ether he said he did a leak test and couldn’t find the problem the only thing he noticed was that cylinder one had 10% less compression than the other 3 cylinders but still remained to specs (according to him). He recommended I take it to a dealership to check the ECU. The only thing I notice is that the car has a bad oil leak near the VVT solenoid on the passenger side of the engine bay.
any suggestions on what this could be?
