Default Toda B owners

What are your cam gears set at. I'm trying to see if there is a common set up or if it is different for each setup.

I am running hondata and have done lots of tuning. The reason I'm asking is because my setup made peek power with exh set at 0 and a .5 degree advance on the int. cam. there was no major changes throughout the powerband.

Set cam timing according to the tech sheet that comes with the cams. You need a degree wheel and dial gauge.

That is a little unusual, but not unheard of, Most people experience the most gains by advancing the hell out of the intake cam, i have heard of at least one other case where it made the most power at 0 though, so you're .5 degree advance isn't unheard of.

Once the new mods are done (over the winter) I will have to tune it again. I tried many different combinations last tuning session, and will try them again in the spring. I have an excellent tuner as our shop is an otherized Hondata dealer (only one east of Montreal in Canada) and we have unlimited use of a Dyno Jet. I'll just have to see what happens in the spring. Thanks for your imput and more is welcome.

.....it varies according to mods, displacement, compression, etc.

I'd suggest advancing the intake, and retarding the exhaust...

I made the most power from +15, -5... but your setup - even the exact same motor might make the best power elsewhere... This is after tuning the fuel, btw...

i've seen it range from 1/2 of 1 cam degree to about 12 cam degrees after degreeing. although those are outliers, the typical range is around 4-5 sepration. ensure your t-belt is not off by 1 tooth. It could be possible to have that settign if you have a stock header

just degree them, get a moroso kit or make your own degreeing kit.
