Has anyone experienced metal shavings in their distributor? Im getting a P0336 Crankshaft Position Sensor code. I bought a new Sensor i havent installed it. I did my due diligence and opened up the distributor to make sure it looked ok and i found metal shavings everywhere. I've seen online that P0336 can also be in the distributor.

 

likely that the bearing is failing and causing the shaft to wobble enough to take out pieces of the pickups.
check for movement in the distributor shaft.
