i have a 99 accord lx. stock f23 in it. the dizzy thats on it has 2 ears for the bolts and the wiring harness is part of the housing. i was thinking they used a knock off ebay dizzy, but according to hondapartsnow, thats the right style. it calls for a Honda 30100-PAA-A02 Distributor Assembly (D4T97-03) (Hitachi) 1998-2002 Honda 30100PAAA02. i was going to replace the dizzy with Distributor For 1998-02 Honda Accord DX with TEC Distributor TD-91U 30100PABA01 since it has all 3 ears.

car is also sending a misfire on all cylinders code and o2 sensor code as well. the car does run and drive and doesnt seem to be misfiring, so i thought they had the wrong dizzy on it. im going to replace both o2 sensors and go from there. any thoughts?

 

If the F23 that is in your bay has 3 tabs. You should be using part number 30100-PAB-A01, TD-91U TEC distributor as you thought.

 

funny thing is even honda says it calls for the 2 tab dizzy, any ideas why? would putting the td-91u have any issues if that wasnt the originally intended one? ive just never seen that before. and ive been out of the honda scene for a while. getting back into it with a 96 accord ex, a 99lx, an 04 civic and a mid 90's civic lol. now to find a crx for myself. i used to be on here under the same name from 04-08 but i guess my profile was purged.

 

What stamp is on the engine block, F23A? ?

 

f23a1 on the 99 accord

f22b1 on the 96 accord
