Hello all,

I apologize for what for you is probably a mundane question, but I don't know what this is and I need to order a replacement to fix it. It's obviously a cover, but what is it covering? Your help is very appreciated.

 

Year and vehicle?

 

Evap cover? Why replace it just reconnect with a few bolts

 

As long as the tabs on the cover were not broken off, it is held in place with plastic push in clips.

Year and vehicle would help for right part number(s).

 

 

Thank you all for your quick responses. The tabs are broken and the end piece is missing that the pins/screws affix to. I thought about just wiring it up.

Thank you for the diagram. That's definitely it. But what is it? It's between the rear tires, so I don't know that it can be the evap cover, but I'm female and don't know cars that well. I know I can fix it though. I at least know enough to see that, I just don't know what it is. Thanks so much!

 

Skid plate for the evap canister. If you are not going off-road you can probably just remove it.
