2003 Civic LX 126K miles. Shaking ONLY during cold startup ( Cold weather only )
Hey fellas,
So my car shakes and makes boom boom sounds for about 5 seconds only during cold startup (Cold weather) then my car works perfectly. My engine light comes on and off depending on how often I start my engine during cold startup. If I check the OBD scanner when my check engine light is on. It shows Misfire cylinder 1.
I have brand new:
Battery
Alternator
4x Spark Plugs
4x Coil packs
Radiator
I googled and people said it might be a bad fuel injector causing this. Does it make sense? I tried redline fuel injector cleaner twice and it doesn't seem to help.... I'm not a mechanic and I don't want to spend too much money on fixing things especially this old car if I can't pinpoint this issue.
Does anybody knows or has this issue and got it fixed?
Please help.
Thanks.

How many miles on the car? Have you put a snake camera into cylinder one spark plug hole to see if anything unusual inside?
I would check the usual things clean out the air filter, air box check for messed up or chewed up wires, take out mass airflow sensor and clean with some cleaner. When have you last changed the timing belt?

Yeah, I think they are called endoscopy cameras. They can be purchased on eBay for about $10 and hook to Android phones. You can look for oil in cyclinders, see if you have coolant in cylinder, etc.
Alternatively, there are numerous businesses out there that are happy to take money to work on cars if you don't want to try to learn.
How about a new coolant temp. sensor , you don't want to spend a lot of money but you already bought parts that didn't work , If you want parts for the honda you should go to the dealer or OEM on line . That " boom boom " doesn't sound normal at all . Something ain't right and it should be taken care of ASAP or you'll be spending a lot of money you don't want to .
