B20 swap help.
I have a 2000 civic that originally had a d series/ auto trans. Swapped in jdm b20b with auto crv trans. Pulled crv engine harness from an auto crv in the junkyard along with the p3f ecu. Wiring harness from the crv has 4 connectors(ABCD).Problem being is the civic provides power to the ecu through the body harness (connector A). With all 4 engine harness plugs in the ecu there is no spot for the A connector on the ecu left to provide power to the ecu. But with the power provided to the ecu and the “A” connector unplugged from the engine harness I get no spark or fuel injector power. All the jumper harness I’ve found on the internet all reduce 4 plugs to 3 but they deduce from “ABCD” to “ACD”. Just wondering what it is I need or maybe some advice to be pointed in the right direction to make this swap work.
Went to the junkyard and pulled the harness and ecu out of a 2001 crv. I did have a crv harness, just not the right year, so thanks for that. Car starts and try’s to idle. Jumps around from about 1.5-2.5k.
we cleaned the throttle body, iacv.,the fast idle valve and turned the white wax ring in all the way.
new plug wires and plugs. Coolant is topped off. After about a minute of running it starts high idling around 3.5k. Going to change out the iacv and see where that takes me. Any other suggestions would be helpful thanks.
