I have a 1994 civic DX and it's had a decently sized water leak for some time now. The water leaks in during rain and fills both the driver and passenger footwells. I've done some research on the cowl trim and seals leaking, but all those talk about it being exclusive to the passenger side. Mine is definitely worse on the driver's side and is an issue because I wanted to install new carpet and make the interior nice again, as well as my ECU is located in the passenger footwell. What do y'all think this is? And write ups before me on how to fix this? Also I don't have the side windshield trim installed, could that be it? (Although the leak seems to be all the way up into the top of the foot well). Also my car doesn't have AC or an AC system if that contributes.
Your car is old, seam seals will crack at some point. You want to keep this car around? you'll need to tear it down to determine the location of the leak.
