1994 Accord / Wagon Brake upgrades?
Hey Everyone,
I recently purchased a 94 accord wagon and acquired a set of DC2 rims and need to do a caliper conversion for them to fit properly. Does anyone know of a DC2 specific caliper fitment guide?
any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance!

If I remember correctly the Accord wagon came with the largest brakes of all the 5th Gen Accords. If you are looking for something a bit smaller, you could try ones from an EX/EXR, if you need discs.
If you are looking for a different bolt pattern than the stock 4x114.3's, like swapping to a 4x100, I'm not sure what Civic/Integra hubs are compatible.
Thanks dude! Looking into it your absolutely correct. I was hoping there was a smaller caliper that would fit the 11" rotors the wagon came with but it seems like the only solution is Spacers. Grabbed a pair of 3mm universal ones and am going to do a test fit when they arrive
The wagons had the largest brake calipers. Rather than buy the spacers, why not just buy the smaller rotors and get a set of LX or EX sedan calipers/knuckles with the 10.3 or do some testing fitting at the junkyard?
I was actually unaware that they had the largest rotor/caliper combo and was planning on doing the upgrade to the larger calipers, but I thought there would be a narrower caliper (for the 11") off of a more performance oriented model. I'm going to stick with the larger brakes and upgrade them (and convert them to the Dual Piston calipers from a Legend) since the build I'm going for is more of a "performance oriented daily driver" and wont see a track so I'm hoping the 3mm spacers wont be an issue?
If you know any upgrades for the Booster/Master Cylinder/Lines please let me know, this is my first Honda so I'm not really sure whats out there for companies or parts, or what the recommended options are (stick with OEM or similar?)
Test fitting at the junkyard is an AMAZING idea though, never even though of that haha. I'm gonna be hitting a yard next weekend so I'm definitely going to keep that in mind, thank you!

I have played around with a lot of different brake combos. The calipers sizes are much the same unless you use the aluminum 4-piston calipers from the Acura RL. I never had any problems with the side-to wheel clearance, but I installed 300mm rotors and the caliper-to-rim clearance makes me run 17" wheels. Maybe 16" depending on the brand of wheel. I use NSX calipers, which are much the same as the Legend except for the bleeder screw position. I bought a pair of the 4-piston RL calipers but I could not get them to work with my wheels unless I used spacers. And, honestly, with the 300mm rotors the car really doesn't need more brakes.
There are also upgrades for the rear. Note that your wagon calipers have 38mm pistons as opposed to the sedan's 34mm ones. And Fastbrakes makes a kit to upgrade the Pilot rear rotors which are 313mm. Makes a nice combo with upgraded front brakes.

That's rad, I haven't heard about that conversion yet. Did you have to modify anything to get the caliper bracket to fit? or was it bolt on?
Right now I have a 4-bolt setup with DC2 15", but I'm going to be doing the Rotor over Hub conversion soon and have been on the fence about switching to 5-bolt and picking up a pair of the DC2 16" 5-bolts (I did a quick search and saw that they did fit with the RL rotor/NSX caliper/16" DC2's on an Integra) wondering if i should just go all in on the brake upgrade while I'm at it as I have to redo the whole front end. The car runs but its old haha
Also right now I actually have rear drums since its the LX model, does Fastbrakes make a conversion kit? or is it just an upgrade kit?

To get the best stuff, you need to have 5 lugs. For the front I used Odyssey steering knuckles and hubs, and for the rear I used Gen 6 spindles pressed into Gen 5 knuckles and Prelude (Gen 5) hubs with a 1/8" washer under the nut. It is all stock stuff but you have to know how to mix and match.
For sure, thanks dude! Definitely helped me get off the fence about that, going to make a parts list and do the 5-bolt conversion. I'll have to do more research on the 5-bolt DC2s though and make sure they fit before I buy. I'm also trying to stick with only the best stock performance stuff, unless its parts that weren't offered on any stock models
Honestly I never saw the point in going through all that for the 5 lug swap unless there's a set of wheels you absolutely have to have.
The V6/Wagon brakes are plenty big for the application. When paired with a good set of pads(Hawk HPS or similar), stainless steel braided lines, and good fluid you will not have any issues. I can very easily lock up the front wheels even with good summer tires on mine. I drive my car HARD down backroads and have yet to experience any meaningful fade after 6+ years since converting my LX to the V6/Wagon stuff. It's cheap but effective. I'm easily triple the horsepower at the tire of a stock F22 also.
Unless you plan on tracking the car hard and heavy with some serious power adders, you have all the brakes you need.

Under normal driving conditions the wagon brakes are enough. But, when I would go off the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC and go down some of the roads to the lower towns, I was constantly of the brakes for miles. With the 282mm rotors I would get some fade, but with the 300mm I never have. Probably on a road course I would need the 324mm.
For sure, I figure I'd do it since I'll be in there literally rebuilding the whole front suspension anyway. But its great to know that I have solid brakes now while its a little sketchy putting er around haha
Does anyone run any Drilled/Slotted rotors? Are they worth the investment or just hype?

I have slotted. They were only a couple bucks more when I did the changeover. Can't really say if they made any difference over blanks. The slots tend to get packed full of pad material.
