Default Smelly AC Vents

My wife took the 08 accord in for an inspection and asked the guy about smelly AC vents , he said it's usually either the cabin filter or a evap/cond pan or something . Is any one familiar with this ? I got a new cabin filter 2 years ago . Thanks .

Just buy another cabin filter and replace it, it's between $10-$15.

Your A/C water drain hole might be plugged. You should stick something long through it see if it helps, it could be the cabin filter too.

Does water drip out when your ac is running , if not it's probably plugged.

My wife stopped complaining about it , which was the real problem . It was only slightly musty , I think the mechanic took care of it . Thanks for the help .
