Default TL Type-S engine to a 2.7 V6 Accord engine bay

I am wondering if any of you guys ever heard of a TL Type-S engine installed in a 2.7 V6 accord engine bay before. I am actually thinking of doing it but I'm not really sure if it can be done....i.e. engine mounts and engine bay size. Can someone advise me on this???? I am really interested in doing it.

Thanks

I doubt it but that would be one helluva swap. Plus the six speed. I'm betting that that engine will not fit though. Why don't you look into Nitrous?

I have the C27A1 1st gen legend engine so I was thinking the TL Type-S engine might fit. As far as nitrous....I'm not really sure if my engine now can handle it.

Your engine is 2.7 liter and I believe the TL type-s is 3.2 liters and a whole lot more junk attached to it. I'm betting that the Type-s engine is going to be ridiculously expensive also. Try looking around on this website http://v6accord.com/ .I'm not sure if they deal with 5th gen V6s or not but I'm sure someone there could point you in the right direction.

I wouldnt bother with a TL motor, all automatics. Find a CL-S motor with the 6speed. This sound expensive already, nevermind the custom mounts etc and I have no idea if it would even fit. Might be too big. I dunno how the axles would work, custom most likely, and even then the anlges might be bad and u would be breaking them constantly. There are too many questions to do this IMO. Unless you have an unlimited budget and wouldnt mind a couple months of downtime.

more trouble than its worth. you'd be better off buying a new car by the time you are done with the J32 swap. the motor plus the 6spd (which is hard to come by anyway) will cost you around 5k.... if you're lucky.

some guy put the j32 in his 98CL a while back and it was more trouble than it was worth. the underbody had to be cut so it could fit the tranny, wiring on the ECU was a pain.... etc, etc. i think that final figures came up to about 10k...... not worth it IMO
